DVD/Blu-ray Physical Disc Collection

Users can collect physical discs and other items, similar to movies:

  1. Select a library directory (you can also create a dedicated physical collection library directory; this directory must correspond to a folder in the operating system because it needs to store photos and video files of these physical items).
  2. Click the "Add" button in the list on the right.
  3. In the "New file properties" window, set "Structure Type" to "3: Disc", and optionally fill in "Content type".
  4. Enter other information such as filename/title/barcode/location/status/cast/director/description, etc.
  5. On the "Media" tab, select its cover file/sample files, etc.
  6. If necessary, click "Edit files" in Base tab to add other files such as other pictures/video clips.
  7. In the "Custom" tab, you can note its logs such as "rental record". The "Reminder" field is not yet implemented and will be used to remind users to perform certain custom operations at a certain time (e.g., "Check" / "Return").
  8. Click "OK" to save.

Use the import function. When selecting to add files, choose the category "Disc folder", and then select the disc file folder (for example, for DVD, it is the folder containing "VIDEO_TS"; for Blu-ray, it is the folder containing "BDMV"). Then, perform the regular import work.

DVD/Blu-ray Playback

For playback of disc digital files, especially DVD files, if regular playback cannot accurately locate the file to play, you can select the file record and press the "Play" button while also pressing the "Shift" key. Then enter the title number (e.g., "0" or "1") and see if it can be played successfully after confirmation.

If PLM cannot play .ISO files correctly, you can hold down "Ctrl" while playing, select the MPV player, and continue holding down the "Ctrl" key. PLM will first map the ISO to a drive and then play it.
