What is a Boss Key?

A Boss Key is a shortcut key (or combination of keys) that allows you to quickly hide the software you are using. It's a method to make PLM disappear quickly when someone else is nearby.

How to Use the Boss Key?

Simply press Alt+Q (or press Esc several times), PLM will immediately disappear and hide in the system tray in the lower right corner. Click the PLM icon in the tray to restore it. After restoration, PLM will generally display the specified boss page (e.g., Bing). You will need to manually switch to your desired interface.

Encrypting Videos

PLM supports simple and quick video encryption. The extension of the encrypted video will be changed to pl??? (e.g., plmp4). These encrypted files can only be played with PLM or plmplay.

Setting a Media Library Directory as a "Private" Directory

Right-click on a node in the first-level directory and select "Edit" its row properties. Change the value of "vflags" to "1" and confirm to save. If "Show private dirs" is not checked in the settings menu, this directory will not be displayed in the tree, but its file records will still be displayed in the complete file list.
